Melinda McGlothlin earned her bachelor’s degree in music from William Patterson University of New Jersey on a full scholarship, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in music from The Manhattan School of Music. Alongside her career of singing opera, classical, and music theater professionally for over 20 years, she has also managed to build a successful career in finance.
With over 19 years in the mortgage industry, Melinda has the knowledge and experience to help her clients navigate the homebuying process. After starting her career in loan processing, she has worn many hats since and earned a reputation for fixing things and solving problems. From Account Executive to Loan Officer, and most recently a hybrid role where she conducted financial and credit analysis, underwriting, processing, and sales – you name it, she’s done it. Her diverse background is a testament to her hard work, commitment to understanding, and willingness to get the job done for her clients.
Originally born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Melinda currently still lives in the suburb of Owings Mills with her husband, two kids (ages 8 and 11), and the family dog. As a side gig, she still sings mainly as a cantor at local synagogues and loves that it makes people happy and brings them peace, as well as herself. Outside of this, she can usually be found on the lacrosse, field hockey, football, or baseball fields cheering on her kids. As a family, they all enjoy the arts and love attending theater shows in Baltimore and New York when they can. Some of her favorite hobbies include reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
