Carmen Maldonado is from Caguas, Puerto Rico, where she graduated from Jose G. Benitez High School. She lived on the island until she was 19 years old and left in pursuit of better opportunities. Carmen then became a military wife and has been one for the past 17 years. Once in the States, she quickly learned the language and finished her associate and bachelor’s degrees. Carmen obtained an associate degree in business administration from Georgia Military College in Augusta, Georgia, and a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Ashford University in San Diego, California. She became the top of her class, was part of the Dean’s Honors list and received the Alpha Lambda Chapter Award.
Carmen has been in the banking industry for about 6 years now. She started as a Teller before becoming a Customer Service Representative where she provided personal loans and car loans for her customers. Carmen and her family eventually got stationed in Dallas, TX. This is where she started as a Loan Officer Assistant and moved up to be a Loan Officer. Here, Carmen found a passion in educating her borrowers and helping them find financial success. Being a military wife and having moved to the states at 19 years old, Carmen understands what it is like to feel lost and need help, which is what she is here for. She prides herself on always being available and open to every single one of her customers. Carmen believes that her passion, dedication and having a servant heart is what helped her find success in this industry. Additionally, Carmen has held First Time Home Buyer Seminars, along with her realtors, completely in Spanish.
Carmen currently resides in Fort Riley, Kansas, with her husband of 17 years, their son who is 9 years old, and their Goldendoodle named Dallas who is 2 years old and who they adore with all their hearts. Carmen considered her family very active, especially her son. They love the outdoors, going for walks, nature, and planning family road trips. If they had a beach nearby, Carmen thinks they would be there almost every weekend! Things Carmen enjoys doing for herself include training at the gym, dancing, eating, or just listening to podcast. She loves going to events whether that is related to work or personal. She also enjoys planning birthday parties for her friends and giving gifts.
