Teresa Lopez started her career in mortgage banking with a bank in New York. She continued to advance in her career moving to the Washington, DC metro region where she worked in specialized mortgage financing for self-employed high-profile clients, many of which were doctors, lawyers, and politicians. Working in DC over the years helped Teresa to build her experience in the industry, and afforded her great opportunities to work as a subject matter expert with FHA-HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other policy makers in Washington, DC.
During her 20 plus year career, Teresa has facilitated financing for thousands of homeowners, realtors, builders and real estate developers facing all types of economic, technological and regulatory challenges. She is experienced in green building finance, construction lending as well as permanent conforming, jumbo, and affordable housing loans. Teresa prides herself on her ability to think outside the box, and strives to exceed her client’s expectations to achieve outstanding financial results. Her passion to help her clients save money and find the best loan solution for their financial situation has afforded her clients a distinct advantage. Teresa currently resides in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Formerly a Navy brat, she grew up all over the US and the world. Teresa is passionate about supporting her community, Veterans and those seeking sustainable lifestyles. She has a grown son, granddaughter and many nieces and nephews who live in various parts of the US. Teresa enjoys a healthy lifestyle and is a martial arts Tai-Chi red-belt, yoga practitioner, avid hiker, camper and nature enthusiast.
